Sailing for Everyone
Our mission is to serve the youth and families of coastal Connecticut by providing learning opportunities and access to the Long Island Sound. Yes, we will teach you how to sail. But sailing is so much more than just learning to operate a boat. It's about learning new skills, having adventures, becoming competent in swimming and boating safety, working as a team, learning how to be a leader, and nurturing a respect for our great natural resources, all while making friends and having fun!
Sailaway Sailing School is operated by the Connecticut Yankee Council, BSA a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through Scouting programs for girls and boys that build character, teach leadership and instill a commitment of service to others
