1,000 Nautical Miles!
Our Sea Scout Ships have logged more than 1,000 nautical miles in recent years
500 Kids Learning to Sail!
Since 2022 Sailaway Sailing School has provided 840 hours of instruction to 500+ girls and boys
65% Are New Sailors!
We open new doors! Most of our students are first time or beginner sailors
40% Learning to Swim!
Our pre-season swimming program enables more youth to develop new skills
34 Safety Certified!
As our sailors progress they earn saftey certifications from the State of Connecticut, U.S. Sailing Association and the Red Cross
22 U.U.V.s Built!
Teams of Sea Scouts from accross the region have built 22 Sea Perch, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs)
Three Tall Ships!
Our sailors climbed the rigging at Mystic Seaport, learned the lessons of La Amistad and studied ecology aboard the 80 ft. schooner Soundwaters.
Two U.S.C.G. Stations!
The New Haven and New London U.S.C.G Stations hosted 50+ young sailors to see first hand the mission of the U.S. Coast Guard.
One Nuclear Submarine!
A select group of Sea Scouts toured U.S. Naval Submarine Base New London and got an inside look at an active duty Virginia Class nuclear submarine.
